What is the purpose of creating symmetry in level design? What are ways in which level design could be more interesting, without creating perfect symmetry between the levels? Does level design become more balanced the more iterations there are?

Decision: To balance, or not to balance

In your group, decide the overall look of the game board. Will it be symmetrical or asymmetrical? As you discuss, think about how XYZ's requirements might warrant one over the other.
